The Mind-Body Connection and the Changing Science of Change
In this webinar, you will discover the latest breakthroughs in neuroscience and somatic psychology and how they relate to therapists. We will explore the mind-body connection through the lens of the three brains—the head (cognition), heart (emotion), and gut (intuition)—and understand their role in shaping thoughts, behaviours, and healing.
Learn how cutting-edge research is transforming our understanding of change, and gain practical, science-backed tools to work more effectively with clients. Whether addressing trauma, stress, or personal transformation, these insights will help you harness the neurobiological keys to lasting change.
Join us for this engaging session that blends theory with actionable strategies you can integrate into your practice immediately.
About Helen...
Helen McLucas is a distinguished advocate, community builder, and mental health professional with over a decade of experience working with the Science of Hope. Her journey in community building began in her teenage years and her early initiative sparked a lifelong dedication to community service, culminating in her receiving the 2022 Parliament of NSW Award for Community Service. Helen has consistently demonstrated the vital importance of connection and community, a belief reinforced by Harvard University’s longitudinal study showing that our relationships and happiness profoundly influence our health.
In addition to her community work, Helen is a passionate mental health advocate. Recognising that mental health issues can manifest in various ways, from diagnosable conditions like anxiety and depression to a general sense of not feeling oneself, she is also a strong advocate for vulnerable people and their communities, especially those people living with a disability and seniors, tirelessly giving a voice to those who often go unheard.
Helen’s extensive qualifications, including an MBA, diplomas in Clinical Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy, Professional Counselling and Hypno-Oncology, as well as many certification level qualifications, equip her with the knowledge and tools to guide others in overcoming challenges and achieving a fulfilling life.
